As far as I know none of the Crane Cams systems use the points and condenser. The points are replaced with a sensor block and a shutter wheel is placed on the distributor shaft (over the lobes).

I have them installed on the Healey and the 280SL and have been quite happy with the system. (Earlier Crane Cams units had some problems, but Allison has corrected them and they seem pretty reliable.)
