I'm in the process of replacing the airpump in my '90 300CE, and I noticed the alternator has a little play in it when you pull up and down on the pulley. Does anyone know if you can disassemble the alternator and just replace the bearing? It seems like a waste to buy a whole new alternator when this one is otherwise o.k.
