Yes, Bars Leaks is a good product.

I read a very good story in a book about the NASCAR drivers of the past. There were many interesting anecdotes about things that happened in the early days.

Wendell Scott was the only black man to race regularly in NASCAR for a number of years and the only black man to ever win a Grand National (now known as Nextel Cup) race. He was an amazing driver and probably even a more amazing mechanic. He raced on a shoe string budget that probably wouldn't put tires on a Nextel Cup car today.

He ran on such a low budget that it was common for him to end up using bars leaks and another leak stop chemical that was for bigger leaks.

Junior Johnson had a radiator leak and couldn't find a radiator. Someone suggested that he see if Wendell had any Bars leaks. Wendell did and it was reported that he considered it an honor to give it to Junior.

There are many more great stories about Wendell Scott, but the bars leaks just reminded me of him. Most all of the Grand National racers from that era say that if Wendell had been racing decent equipment, he would have many, many wins in the record books. He finished something like 500 races.

Sorry, but I couldn't help myself. Racing with a bars leaks sealed radiator is certainly a testimony for the product.
