I recall reading about a scholar/author who claimed that "over 6 million African slaves were thrown overboard during the years of the 'Atlantic Triangle' Slave Trade"... You know: sugar, rum, slaves.

It, however, seems this figure exceeded the entire estimated Black population of the Dark Continent.
