If you already have the new filter setup, you don't need to remove the back seat or remove the lid from the floorpan. That's only if the mod hasn't been done yet. Because the new lines attach to the top of the fuel pump, when you replace the lines you need to access the top of the pump, which is done through the hole in the floor.

You should be able to remove the lines from the filter with a little patience and understanding. You can't just "jerk" the lines off, there are quick-connectors on the end of the plastic lines. I believe the connectors are easier to remove by hand on the newer style plastic lines. On the original style, there was a small square section which you needed the special pliers to depress far enough down so they became unlatched. This was harder on the ones with the smaller square part to depress, and especially hard on the ones on top of the pump, because they were mounted kind of down inside a "hole". The pliers made it easy. No idea what the tool # is offhand.

You won't need the new hoses if you already have the new filter, the mod is done and you'll just want a new filter only.
