Oil Change Interval?
This is a question that almost everyone has an opinion on. :-) The easy answer is, the Manufacturer's service interval, which for my 240D I think is 3000 miles...but I think some 240Ds had a 5000 mile service length. If you use dino oil, do what is recommended. But, my opinion, is with synthetics you can go longer between changes, but others won't agree with that. Others might say to double interval time, but change the filter once in between, ie, filter at 3000 miles, oil+filter at 6000 miles. It also depends on how much you drive. If you only drive a few miles at a time and not frequently, you need to change more often (mileage-wise). Anyway, the one true axiom is, You can't change too often. ;-)
