On the top side of your engine where the upper coolant hose connects to the engine, there should be a red topped one pin switch marked 100c. With the engine running take off it's connecter and ground it with a piece of wire. The fan should begin to spin. If the fan then works and your car has gotten over 100c Without it engaging you know the switch is bad.
