I wouldn't discount that it came from your car simply because of the "123" prefix in the part number. Very often a part from a previous chassis will work just fine on a later chassis and the part number will simply be extended to the next chassis. So a firewall grommet for example which was originally designed for a 123 chassis, which will work just fine on a 124 chassis, will be used on the 124, but retain the 123 part number prefix.
