it was the translation of di lampedusa's novel THE LEOPARD. aka Il gattopardo.

i have had bootleg vhs tapes of this flicker, but they didn't do justice to the majesty of the original.

tonight, amazon has emailed me that the criterion collection will be releasing this great movie on dvd on 25/5/04.

this is a warm and fuzzy moment for me. i trust that it will be for all of you benzsters.

the next release that criterion needs to effect, is kurosawa's kagemusha. the best film that he ever made[imho].

i love great cars and great movies. these two flicks are the best.
