The car is not finished yet but I could have never done it with out all the help I got from this forum. A very big thank you to all of you for your patience and help! There were many threads regarding this project. One major difference between the 1979 and 1980 is on some 79 models they vented the blow by gasses right to the turbo inlet therefore there is no second pipe going into the upper crank case to return the oil to the pan. The search feature was a lot of help although in some cases the information was just plain wrong but then how many people have had to change a upper crank case this car had every bizarre problem you could think of. I should note it was bought off eBay sold as a daily driver. Lets see top speed 50 mph new tires so corner worn steel belts showing tie rod so bent it was amazing 9 degrees of chain stretch and on and on.
Now I pray it starts in a few days when were ready to fire it up. The motor is now %45 1979 %45 1980 %10 this and that. The big news is it’s in the car tranny stuff still needs to be hooked up but the end is near.
