RX-7, hmm is that a front mount intercooler? What size core? The problem with intercoolers is that they block the air flow to the radiator, fortuantely our systems were way overdesigned but it may cause your car to run warmer more frequently. Where do you plan on putting it? If it were just adding the IC I would give it a shot but since the turbo goes right to the intake manifold it means there will be a little bit of work in routing the air, doesn't excite me very well. I wonder if you had the air enter the intake manifold straight and just used a elbow on the turbo after cutting the neck off the intake manifold if it would work that way.
One other thing to think about since I didn't pay attention to your location is that a IC in winter time would mean the vehicle would probably run worse most of the time in cold weather since the air charge is cooled like it is but I bet it would drop the EGTs a healthy bit so you could boost/fuel up higher.
