No cutting of any engine part is needed. There are two clamps and 4 bolts holding the compressor housing in place. All you need to do it loosen those 4 bolts and rotate the housing until the turbo outlet is at the desired angle. Then you may use the stock turbo-manifold connecting tube to put the pipe on. No damage to the engine parts.
Finding a good mounting point for the intercooler is very important. You wont fit it infront of the radiator without completely removing the A/C condensor. Wherever you put it, adding a small high-speed fan to it will make a big difference in lower (low flow) speeds. Placing it in the place of the panel in the red area would be the best spot if you want to keep A/C.
Side note: DO NOT use PVC tubing for anything but non-running mock-up. It can't take the heat and will melt/release harmful fumes. CPVC might stand up to it, but you sould do more research into that.
