My tranny is leaking from band strut retaining plug. This is located on driver side of the transmission case and it has about 17 mm allen socket head.

Anybody has replaced or0ing behind the plug? If yes, do you have to remove the tranny? or just unscrew the plug & replace the ring?

Please help.
