BMW 2002 vs. 320i (E21)

Opps! This was suppose to be a reply to: JMela

bmw 2002 ownership = heresy?

I bought a brand new 2002 in 73 and loved it! I traded it in on a new 320i in 1980 and was very pleased with the changes. Drove it until I wore out the suspension, seats, etc. The car had 359,000 miles on it and I didn't put one penny into the engine!

Since then, I've retored a 72 2002 and another 320i. For today's driving envirnonments, I'd recommend a 1980~83 320i. They are known as the forgotten BMW and I'm glad of it. It leaves some great deals to be had in the future.

I bought a 1980 320iS this past year for $500 and it's in amazing shape. You can find them in very good shape from $700 ~ $1200.

Here's the one I bought this past year.
