The availability of Bosch boxed air mass meters for a variety of M-B vehicles appears to have dried up over the past 8 months or so... to the point that many are now "dealer-only" items.

Is this related to the high failure rate that was occuring? Are Bosch boxed units no longer available?

I've heard that M-B is now requiring Bosch perform additional quality control tests for those AMMs that are M-B labeled.
