my C240 with 8000miles broke its serpentine/engine belt into thin strips last week. now, i just installed a new belt and drove it for 60miles,and its beginning to expose the belt's thread on the sides,as if the sides r rubbing on a wobbly engine pulley.

visual check wouldnt confirm any wobbling pulley,but im sure its somewhere there...so how do i go about it??? im concerned that it might be my harmonic balancer/crankshaft pulley.....#112-035-08-00. so where do i start????????????? thanks.

simply put, some pulley in there is eating onto the sides of my new serpentine belt.
