The inner lining is held to the moving part of the sunroof by 2 "pop" type fasteners at the forward edge of the sunroof (nearest the windscreen). You can release them using a sort of hooked tool inserted in the gap with the suroof partly open. I had to do this with the roof fully closed because it had stuck in the closed position. You will still have to wrestle the inner panel out of the roof but at least you can see inside at this point. Is yours a metal or glass outer panel?. Mine is metal & its quite easy to undo 6 bolts & the outer panel just lifts out
