Used to be a place called the Baacanal, or something similar, in the old Playboy Club. Had pretty decent chow, but it wasn't a tourist trap way back when. For a little more blue collar, there was a great pool hall on the West Bank, somewhere right around hwy 23, called Hollywood. Super cold draught beer and regulation tables. And you haven't had Popeye's Chicken till you had it on their home turf, get the spicy with a side of dirty rice.

It may be touristy but you gotta get some bignettes and coffee at the Cafe Du Monde. It wouldn't be right if you went to the Big Easy and didn't have fresh bignettes. Used to be 3 for a dollar...
