That's true actually, the engine oil pan and transmission pan are about the same size. i wonder if they are the same?
well what happened is today morning i saw a pool of engine oil on the floor and took it to a mechanic and he showed me this crack on the oil pan. everytime he would wipe the oil seeping from the oil pan new oil would immediately start seeping out again. it would stick to the outside of the pan and slowly drip. so what i did is i took the car home and put it on stands. drained out the oil and now waiting for the pan to arrive tommorrow. the problem is some of the bolts seem stripped so i might need help removing those. there is a dent in the oil pan aswell. I don't think the prev. owner was a good driver because he has scraped the bottom of the car in many areas. i wont be surprised if the muffler starts leaking soon and maybe even the tranny oil pan.
is it okay to let the car sit for a few days with no oil in it? will condensation form inside?
