We started dating in high school, when she was 15 and me 17. We dated for about 3+ years steady. I was working for her dad, Vito Petruzzelli, in his landscaping and snow plowing business to see if I was good enough for his daughter (while going to college).

We went to a drive in on the night before her birthday. I already had the ring. I bought a dozen roses and put the ring around the stem of a rose. We stopped for a bite on the way home, after midnight. I said, "since it's after midnight there is a present you can have tonight". I opened the trunk of the car in a Pizza Hut parking lot with many lights. She saw the roses, and the lights hit the diamond perfectly.

Engaged for 2 years, and married 25. She is still a sweetheart.
