Believe it or Not, While checking AT fluid on 1989 560SEL, the bottom inch or so of the dipstick broke off in the tube. It went right down the tube into the transmission fluid.

Can I drive the car without damaging the transmission ?


They look to be the same, but Is the 89 dipstick the same as my 92 300E so that I can check the fluid level correctly?
