I have a 1987 560sl with ~ 80k miles. I'm planning on replacing the front subframe bushings and figured that I might as well replace the tie rod ends since they have to be disconnected anyway. However, I've been unsucessful finding a pair. I can only find one side and not the other. Does anyone know why it's so hard to find a pair? I read on this site, I think, that there was some redesign to the tie rods. Could this be it? Also, are there any other components that I should replace while doing the bushings on a car of my age and miles?
