Jim - which manual are you referring to? The M-B Tech Data Book?

I don't have a copy handy, but if I recall correctly, it lists the following for the 124:


a)Total filling capacity, new in compressor - 120 cc


Additional capacity during replacement of the following:

b) Evaporator - 40 cc

c) Condenser - 20 cc

d) R/D - 10 cc

e) Intake line - 10 cc

f) Delivery line - 10 cc

If taken together, they total 210 cc... approx 8 oz.


But here is where I'm confused.... does the first item [a) Total filling capacity, new in compressor] represent the total filling for the ENTIRE system.... or just for a new compressor when no oil is successfully drained from the old compressor?
