We've got a biodiesel users group down here, and we're slowly becoming organized to buy in bulk. BUT, there is a commercial pump at S.A. White Oil in Marrietta, b100. I think this biodiesel is made from waste stock; they get it from United. We've had some quality concerns about it, and the prices fluctuate for no good reason.
look here:
http://www.vegenergy.com This is the place our efforts are being concentrated. Rob, the owner of this joint, is fronting a lot of the effort to buy the quantity stuff and let us get it for his cost. He has even started delivering 55 gal drums. He has appointment only fueling at his building as well.
Fuel hoses are as-yet problem free, and that's with 6 months under the belt. I did replace the injector return lines because they were weepy prior to the switchover. I have to replace the return to tank line on the 300D sooner or later, because it is actually a braided rubber hydraulic brake line from a truck patched in there (and working quite well) that I got at a truck stop when I first bought the car. original would not have survived the trip. The understanding I have regarding biodiesel and NATURAL rubber is that it is actually unreacted methanol in the system that can do the damage. There is considerable debate on this issue, so I'm being cautious. I'm watching for any breakdown, and have a couple of samples of most of the types of hose sitting in a little jar of biodiesel (not a lab test, heating/cooling not done) and they dont seem slimy or unusual compared to the ones sitting in veggie or petrodiesel. My MBs have mostly solid fuel lines (solid fuel? ha ha) rigid metal lines that is... so not too much rubber around to go wrong. But they have a few hidden bits that I am sure will be the first to go when I need to be somewhere... But I think that the miles and miles most on this board have traveled without issue is proof enough to enter the testing grounds.
I'm about a month or so from SVO conversion, then this pricey biodiesel will be for start/stop only.
