Untrue, they do not come from Germany. The local dealer verifies your VIN, identity, and proof of ownership and orders the keys from stateside service centers. The dealer nearest me is in Oklahoma City and my keys came from Fort Worth, Texas -- received by me at the dealership two days after I ordered them. Not quite logistically possible if from Europe.
