$60/hr? I know a lot of programmers that'd work for less.

I'd take a lot of overtime to amount to anything to worry about. Even if they worked 16 hrs/day, you'd only be paying $12/hr.

Is that story really true?

I know a manager though who has had real problems getting quality stuff on time out of India.
