Well I seem to be working through several problems on my e300. The my catalytic converter is rusted through and leaking exhaust -won't pass inspection.

The good news is that there is no diesel emissions in PA.

The bad news is that the part from the dealer costs $1,365!!!

I am wondering if I could put a straight pipe through where the cat. would normally be without making to much noise or causing something silly to happen to the engine.
