Negative camber will cause handling problems and eat the tire on a Benz. Spec is zero -- straight up -- at normal right height. It will change as the suspension moves up and down.

The W108 corners FLAT in front -- very little body roll (its all in the back), so negative camber won't keep more tread on the road, unlke American cars (or Peugots) that have considerble body roll, it will give you LESS tread contact.
