That sounds like the origin of the Vatican's argument, contra-birth control.

My own opinion about birth control has remained constant (its a good thing) while my opinion about abortion has been evolving from completely available and unregulated to the state recognizing some form of personhood in utero. But I wish it would remain in the form of a cultural taboo rather than enter the domain of criminality.
