went to a charity auction yesterday and bought a '83 300 turbo
with 446600k and a newer engine as a doner for the '80 4spd
engineless euro coupe i bought a couple of weeks ago.

my plan has blown up!

the car is so good i dont think i can use it as a doner: new- engine, tranny, michelin tires, power steering pump, alternator,
hoses.

works excellent- vacuum locks, electric windows, sunroof
suspension, lights. perfect body, no rust none, good window rubber, intact map pockets.

has a leather interior, pretty good condition but needs to be
cleaned. carpets are filthy. the drivers seat broke some springs
but i replaced the seat and pad with a spare yesterday. now this
seat is great. vinyl needs cleaning. dash just fair.

antena and cruise control not working. a/c is r12, needs a charge
but i think it works. drivers sun visor wont stay up-tied. temp
gauge and tach not working.

this is a very fast car and the alda is still sealed. i think it might be
an '85- it has a vacuum box on the top of the valve cover. the
airfilter is a mb part, which gives me hope that this might be a
mb remanufactured engine.

a pretty faded yellow. $500 + fees.

i dont really need or want another w123 sedan. i need an
engine for a coupe.
