As far as the phone, you may be able to find a source outside of the MB dealer network, not really too sure.
If you have a Motorola V60 which isn't from the MB network, it won't work with the car, in other words you won't have ANY of the features the integrated phone should have (handsfree, in dash dialling, etc)
There are a few other parts required to make this all work, plus you need the MB V60 phone. The major component is called the PSE, aka the HSE, which integrates the phone onto the fiber optics network. There is also the option for voice control system, which requires the VCS control module.
It "could" be done yourself if you're really good at this sort of thing, and assuming you have the work instructions. However the internal version coding needs to be changed inside the radio using the MB shop computer (SDS), so a trip to a dealer is virtually unavoidable if you want it done right. The hardest disassembly is that the radio needs to be removed, which is a tricky chore if you've never done this before. It's not as easy as just using the radio removal keys, not on a 203 chassis. The whole radio surround panel needs to be removed (from the center dash vents all the way down to the ashtray).
This also needs to be done to install the CD changer, as the fiber optics line behind the radio needs to be reconfigured.
It all gets pretty involved, wish I had better news for you.
