My mechanic told me that the vacuum lines were not connected correctly and the transmission was not adjusted right. He said he had his 240 D set up that way. I was experiencing some flaring and he changed the fluid and filter and made the needed adjustment. It’s been a blast to drive since then. My “ears” do the up shifting, if you know what I mean. The transmission shifts perfectly when hot or cold. It’s like a new car. Looks like the old transmission just needed some servicing.
