All depends on what brand of paint you are using. You can get dupont base coat for under 150 per gallon. I have used Limco base with very good results it runs about 60 dollars per gallon even though an inexpensive paint I like the way Limco lays down, a friends truck I painted with it still looks good after four years.If you want show quality paint then you need the high priced spread

Any auto body shop supply house can match your MB paint code number. Some colors tend to fade more than others making touch up harder.Base clear is very hard to blend on a small touch up usally whole panel such as whole door needs to be painted.......
