It is a gas engine, and it does reach 85-90 degrees Celcius. Besides, inadequate operating temperature would cause sludge, I have NO sludge and the oil looks crystal (amber) clear at 3k but smells alittle funny. Just carbon deposits on the inside of the rocker cover.
