Hello,

I have a 1996 C280 with 103k.

While driving the check engine light came on and major loss of power. Took it to the dealer for check....said #1 and #4 plugs were mis-firing.

Changed out plugs with new Bosch Platimun 4's.

Still ahve the hesitation after 5 minute warm up. Feels like it's going to run out of gas. Must be running on 4 cylinders only.

Ignition Wire set was new last year from this site.

Any ideas of what to try? Should I try a new set of plug wires or boots?

Car guy said to start the engine at night and check to see if wires are arching.....is this a safe test?

What else can I look for?
