One additional use for the old clay after you've finished the body of the car is the wheels. Clay will remove embedded brake dust and tar very easily and leave a smooth finish ready for wax.......yeah I wax my wheels.
After you've used the clay on the wheels you can pretty much throw the piece out since it will be black.
