The Getty station in Kensington did an inspection for me once. They were reasonable and didn't try to force anything on me. Let Mitch Carr's do any repair work that they find (they're 2 blocks away.)

By the way - if you move from another state, you only have to pay the difference between that state's sales tax (if greater than 5%) in addition to a registration fee. try to find your old records showing that you've already paid sales tax once.
