Yes 0 is the weight when its cold but 0 is very thin and I do not feel it lubricates to well because it is so thin. I'd rather start on a 5 or 10 weight, because I think they protect better, the oil pressure comes up real fast either way. When MB designed the M117, and 116 engines 0w oils were not around. Just my 2 cents but as cars get older and oil pumps wear they may not take to a lighter oil well.
