Ouch. Yeah, good thing you caught that. You might want to consider a citiric acid flush before replacing the radiator, or at least doing a Prestone-type flush, just to get any buildup out. The new radiator should help a lot. I'd want to check the fan clutch as well, though!! Take a peek at these two Mercedes documents:
