Indeed this is the flap of the throttle body (my car has no speed control)
I used to be familiar with carburetor cars with adjustable idle, and did not know ( before I joined this great forum) that on a 260E the idle is not adjustable.
Then I moved the screw which acts as the stop of this flap -see picture attached, (btw this screw is almost unreachable when the Air mass Flow sensor is on).
Trying to get it back has been very problematic with the engine on.
These days I took everything out and cleaned the holes and the flap zone (which improved the idle). My car has 380 000km and is runninng great except ilde and some erratic stalling.
Now everything is out and I wish to adjust this flap at its nominal position.
