Unhappy No downshift from a stop or climbing hills
My wife just bought a 1979 300D. We previously owned a 1981 300 TD, so I know it's supposed to start out from a stop in 2nd, but does not. I had to manually shift the auto trans to first to get going and to climb any type of grade. Is there a possible easy fix, or do we take it straight to the mechanic?
