I'm an engineer. If you're not an engineer, you may have never heard of the "KISS" principle. This is "Keep It Simple, Stupid." The 240D with manual everything is the total embodiment of the KISS principle.

The only other car that comes to mind that matches up is a Model A Ford. Both of these cars are probably the best car built in the world for their time. When I say BEST I mean the most reliable, trouble free and simple to maintain.
