Never done a 116 but putting a little dishwashing detergent and water in a spray bottle and spritzing the metal and rubber before doing the rope trick makes it all slide together real nice. Dry rubber seals don't like to slide and will tear from the rope if you are not careful. Ask me how I know.... RT
