'93 190E - trunk deck lid is riding too high above the rear fenders, particularly on the right side. The two bump stops located in the deck lid that contact the trunk sill plate have been adjusted to the minimum, and even removed, yet the deck lid is still too high.

The deck lid is attached to two hinged swing arms; the hinges are mounted to hard points located under the rear shelf located behind the rear seats. Is there any adjustment available in these hinges? If not, how can the deck lid height be corrected?
