That is a rare model indeed with the timing belt option

I ran Duracool for awhile in my black '85 300D and never blew up - not that I could tell anyway
. Finally got tired of not being cool (I'm 47 yrs old and I AM NOT going to have a car without a/c
) and got rid of the DuraCool and went back to r12. They all work just like they were designed to work 15+ years ago.
I have an issue right now on the '81 300D where the condenser fan is not coming on like it ought to. Got to look into it this weekend.
