Go to this link (Bosch site).

At the bottom of the page select "vehicle specific installation".

Then "Mercedes E Klasse up to 6.1995"

You'll then have a 3 page PDF document with some diagrams that will be helpful (after you have increased the size of them).

To get you started:

- pull off seal between windshield and water drain up to the wiper arm. Fold it around the wiper arm to keep it out of the way.

-pull off the lip seal that runs across the entire cowl just under the water drains

-remove the lip seal which runs across the entire engine department forward of bulkhead.

Then refer to the Bosch diagrams for removal of the plastic trim, water drains and filters, which pull out towards the drivers side of the car.

The Bosch page estimates 20 minutes. Maybe, after you're done a few. The hardest part will be geeting the two filters to "mate up" in the tongue and groove.

I would scan the pages from Stu's book but am sure would be violating all sorts of copyright laws.
