Yeah I'm the 'one.' I got them when I was studying in London for a semester. I haven't seen them on any cars over here except for one random grey market 1986 300SEL that resides in Malibu. I like them a lot; they really compliment the look of the w126 very nicely. They are more aerodynamic than the '79-'85 euro bumpers, and match the '86+ smooth side protection strips seemlessly. They also allow for the installation of the nice late model euro contoured mudguards! I can post some pics if you like.
