This is such a great forum and resource of mechanically minded people. I haven't found a comparable resource for other makes of automobiles.

I have a problem with a vehicle that is not my Mercedes. Is it acceptable to ask the question here? I believe the problem is generic and the answer may apply to any vehicle.

I won't throw out the question until I get some feedback from you folks.
