Drive it and keep your eyes on ebay. I see them pop up there. I found one on ebay 100.00 for my V-12 that I'm sending to Renntech. You may want to make sure your wiring is intact as that may trigger a CE light also. Sounds like you have faith in this dealer though, so their diagnosis is probably correct.
