I see that you haven't gotten any responses, so I thought I might mention, that I have been working on getting my passenger side front window to go up and was looking through the Merdedes CD on the 83 300SD...

And I recalled seeing a section that mentioned an adjustment on the windows up/down settings to prevent the wind noise...

Sorry but I didn't remember the exact place but I also thought about the garage that couldn't fix it...

I would suggest that you check out the CD...

I was looking under window assembly, etc...

Unfortunately, there are about 4 or 5 different places where the different information regarding the windows was located...
